SOW PUTS CURL IN TAIL!
by Coach Jim

Saturday, July 15, the Youngest member of the Bitin' Sows, Young Brock, married a lovely young woman from Nashua named Mistee. Mistee has been coming to the Sows games since Brock first joined the organization last year and we love to see her at the park. We all can tell they are DEEPLY IN LOVE and I know I speak for everyone when I say, "Live long and proliferate."
The wedding took place at the Calvary Baptist Church in Parkersburg. LeAnne and I made the trip to Parkersburg with a quarter tank of gas and a 16 ouncer. It was a day off and marriages always put us in a good mood! After an initial error on my part regarding the time of the wedding, we sped off down State Highway Guess What I Am Now.
As we stepped out of the cool air of the car's interior we saw numerous air-conditioners, still in their boxes, setting around the outside of the church. We knew what the score was but we didn't care. A wedding and a little sweat on the brow add that bit of reality LeAnne and I like in these sorts of gathering.
I don't think this young woman could look bad even in an old oil drum but she had on a gorgeous white wedding gown with a train. Did I say "gorgeous" already? The groom was equally handsome in his spandex biker shorts, white shirt and not so complimentary striped wool dickey.
For those of you who are single young male Sows, there were plenty of goodlookin relatives and friends. Never miss the opportunity to go to a wedding if you are single and remotely think you might want to consider a mate. It's in the air. Be there.
(The above is not a veiled effort to get Sows to reproduce so we have replacement players when some of us check into the Big Softball Diamond in the sky.)
The wedding was fun and refreshing. The food at the reception rivaled Dave's Wings. We really had a nice time.
By the way, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Schleisman on their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Who would ever have thought that someone could have tamed Mark enough to live with him for this long?
